Who we are.
We’re a small Bradford-based technology company. I’m Ryan Walb — I started out in 2013 as RAW Audio Visual, doing church installs, live sound, trade show AV, and networked audio around Bradford. The same customers kept telling me the same thing: they had one vendor for IT, one for phones, one for the conference room TV, and nobody owned the seams between them. So in 2016 we rebranded as Walb Electronic Technologies and expanded into the vendor that owns the seams.
Since then the work has grown from AV into managed IT, phones, networking, cameras, and server projects — but the model hasn’t changed: local, one vendor, no finger-pointing.
What we believe
One vendor is easier than four. A lot of the businesses we work with came to us juggling separate companies for IT, phones, AV, and server work. When something crossed categories — a phone system that needed a network change, a conference room that needed a domain account — nobody owned it. We built Walb Tech around fixing that.
Honest advice beats a hard sell. We resell from several manufacturers because no single one is right for every job. If a customer is better off with a smaller system, or with something we don’t carry, we say so. It costs us the sale and keeps the relationship.
Depth matters at this size. Most local shops do the easy 80% of a project and sub the hard 20% to someone two states away. We staff for the hard 20% — virtualization, SAN refreshes, multi-site networking, SIP cutovers, compliance — because those are the projects that keep customers stuck.
Where we are
Based in Bradford, PA. Most of our work is within a 30-minute drive of the office — Bradford and the rest of McKean County, Warren PA and the towns along Route 6, Olean NY and Cattaraugus County. We cross the state line a couple times a week, travel up to an hour out routinely — further for the right project — and support plenty of customers entirely remotely.
Who we work with
Most of our customers are between 5 and 100 employees. The industries we see most often in the Twin Tiers: light manufacturing, oilfield and energy services, healthcare clinics, accounting and legal practices, construction, ag suppliers, regional retail and restaurants. Plus churches, libraries, town offices, and a few schools — local institutions need someone reliable too.
Some have no internal IT and want us to handle everything. Some have one internal IT person who’s hit a ceiling on the harder projects and wants someone to take those on without trying to replace them. Both arrangements are normal here.
